This One Time, At Band Camp...and other Notes

Welcome to September! Today is the official release date of the book you see pictured to the left, authored by my friend Erin Dionne (author of the terrific books "Models Don't Eat Chocolate Cookies" and "The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet"); click the photo to order your copy.

Today was professional day at work and the first time that our new President  spoke to the college as a whole...and it was totally amazing! I am so hopeful for the future of our college under his leadership and thoroughly impressed with him.

This is the first time on more than 40 years that Jerry Lewis will not be involved with the MDA telethon but I think it's important that all who find reasons to support the MDA and the work they do should not base their donations on the fact that Jerry Lewis isn't there - think about the cause.

We're officially on the last trimester of the year - while we often let it pass us by while we are frantic preparing for things like holidays and school etc. Let me remind you all to take a deep breath and stop to embrace the moment you are in because it's going to pass you by whether or not you acknowledge it.
