Three

Monday: "A student opening fire with a handgun he took from his parents. Screaming students running for cover. A teacher, trying to help, shot dead. Two students wounded. The terror lasted just a few brutal minutes." (CNN)

Wednesday: "How was Danvers High math teacher Colleen Ritzer killed? With a box cutter the suspect, 14-year-old Philip Chism, had brought into school, a source close to the investigation says." (CNN)

Thursday: "An Ashland teen walking to school suffered “severe trauma” when she was hit by a car as she crossed Main Street this morning. The 16-year-old girl, who was not identified, was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston by a medical rescue helicopter after the 6:30 a.m. crash, Ashland Fire Department spokesman Lt. David Iarussi said. 'The injuries were pretty severe,' he said. 'She has severe trauma, multiple injuries, head trauma.'” (MetroWest Daily News)

Three tragedies in one week. It's overwhelming. I have no words, and too many to type all at once. This is a real test of faith for me.
