If you follow technology at all, it seems every day you hear of the next cell phone, the next computer innovation, the next whatever...but not just hear about it, hear very specific details about it that somehow "leaked" to the public.

During Apple's most recent press conference, one site had a live feed going through the list of all of the "leaks" that had been covered in the months preceding the actual Apple announcement and was reviewing what was delivered versus expected via those leaks.

I wonder if anyone actually believes at this point that those leaks are accidental. My belief is that the manufacturers intentionally leak the information to create excitement, demand, etc.

What are your thoughts? And, do you think it's all a bit overkill?
