The title of this post is a homage to a Nabokov novel. I am going to go on the picture is worth a thousand words theory from here:
This is, or rather was, the storage shed on the campus where I work. While there has been a great deal of thawing, there is still such a great deal of snow around. We did by the way achieve the distinction of it being the snowiest winter on record, probably one that most of us that lived through it are happy to let it sit as the record for the rest of our lives.
There have been some hints of spring, but winter is not going away quietly - not a surprise at all here in New England.
